Prospective candidates are referred to Urban Scholars through school administrators, instructors, counselors, or community agencies. Each prospective candidate must attend an Urban Scholars Orientation with their parents/guardian, and speak to an Urban Scholar staff person before an application is accepted.

Urban Scholars Program

To qualify for the program, each prospective candidate must:

• Register online- (An application will be sent via email)
• Submit a completed application
• Attend an Urban Scholars Orientation with their parent or guardian
• Take an academic assessment exam
• Have an average of 80% or above
• Submit a copy of their most recent report card, transcript and letter of recommendation
